Once you complete our online application, we will send you an email confirmation letting you know when have received your enrollment application. Once we receive your enrollment and your fee is processed, we will set you up with access to our Travel Agent Portal with a dedicated LoveShack Vacations Agent section. Then you can begin the Romance Travel Education Program. If you enroll online in the evening, on a weekend or holiday, please give us until the end of the next business day to process your application and set up your accounts.

When you make travel bookings for yourself or your clients, our travel suppliers will pay a commission on the travel sale amount. The exact commission percentage can vary between 3% and 20%, with the average being around 14%. Whatever commission we receive, we pay you 80% of that amount. Once you have earned $5000 in commissions that rate bumps up to 90%.

Let’s say you book an all-inclusive honeymoon trip to Mexico and the total cost for the couple is $5,000. The payout from the travel supplier is 18%, so the total commission is $900. The agent’s share is $720, or 80% of the total commission. Keep in mind that some components of a package price may not be commissionable, such as airfare, so your actual commission will vary.

Our goal is to provide our agents with a timely payout of all commissions. Our parent company, KHM Travel Group, compiles the commissions that are received daily from our travel suppliers. If you earned commissions during that period, the funds will be directly deposited into your account on a regular basis. It is important to keep in mind that most of our suppliers’ issue pay once a client completes their travel, so building a steady stream of clients through sales and marketing tactics will increase your potential earnings as an agent.

Whether it’s an extended anniversary trip in Europe or a quick romantic getaway to the Caribbean, our travel agents are fully prepared to get clients the best value while giving them personalized, high-quality service. Many travelers are overwhelmed when searching an endless sea of travel booking sites to find the best price and best itinerary. That’s why the number of people using travel agents is actually increasing!

You will have some couples that prefer to book their own travel online. However, honeymoons and destination weddings are most often booked by Romance Travel Specialists. These special trips, especially destination weddings, require a lot of time, knowledge and organization. Honeymoon planning can also be a daunting task for a couple who is working on other wedding details. You are their advocate who can handle all this for them!

LoveShack Vacations provides you with several suggestions on how to connect with potential clients looking to book romantic getaways. Once you complete your Romance Travel Education program, we will give you a personalized page on our consumer website, LoveShackVacations.com which has several ways for potential clients to find and connect with you.

During the Romance Travel Education program, you will learn how to market yourself in your local community. Bridal shows are one of the best venues for connecting with couples, and we encourage our agents to participate in their local shows. With our exclusive tips and branding, you’ll feel confident networking with engaged couples and other potential travel clients.

As a LoveShack Vacations Romance Travel Specialist, your membership fee covers all the education, tools, technology, branding and marketing that we provide to help you start and run your own independent travel agency. We provide our agents with updated technology and new resources that you can use to be profitable. As with owning any business, you need to invest time and money in order to be successful, and your membership fee allows us to build, maintain, and enhance what we can offer you as a travel agent.

Other than the registration fee and $99 monthly membership fee (or annual fee, if you choose that option), there are no other costs required to be a part of the LoveShack Team. In your business plan, you should expect to budget in your business operation costs, including but not limited to additional educational events, FAM trips, advertising expenses, and bridal show sponsorships.

While you are welcome to apply for your own IATAN/CLIA cards, it is not required. When you complete the Romance Travel Education program, you will be able to book using KHM Travel Group’s credentials.

We hope you love being a part of the LoveShack team, but if do you need to cancel your membership for any reason, please consult your LoveShack Vacations Agent Agreement. All cancellation notices must be made in writing and emailed or faxed to KHM Travel Group/LoveShack Vacations at least 30 days prior to the agent’s anniversary date. Before 30 days, the agent may cancel at any time after paying an additional cancellation fee.
